World of Warcraft is a HUGE success. It's brought Blizzard millions of Dollars. Strategy gamers will have to love blizzard's Warcraft and Starcraft series. With the upcoming new addition to the Starcraft Series, Starcraft II, People have thought, Why not bring a MMO based on the Starcraft series. World Of starcraft? I thought of this too when I began playing World of Warcraft and looking at Blizzard's other games. But looks like Blizzard is denying anything to do with it. But then blizzard took this on April the first and made a joke out of it. http://youtube.com/watch?v=FLPHY7dCVyU . I haven't played Starcraft myself. But what i've heard and saw it's based on different worlds. So it wouldn't be called World of Starcraft. Maybe something along the lines of...Universe of Starcraft or something like it. But looks like it's not gonna be put in development anytime soon. I guess blizzard can take this idea and make it happen.
The SI-FI MMO isn't a popular genre at the moment. Star wars Galaxies is dying, the Matrix Online wasn't a popular one. Tabula Rasa...it's really not stable yet. I'll explain in another blog.
